I'm sorry, I haven't been able to get on this board or the All SIM Arena in a while and therefore didn't see this message and haven't been able to get the stats for the foals. Is it okay if I get the URL working tomorrow? (Monday) Again, I'm sorry, I've just had a hectic time with my old computer going down and getting my new one set-up, plus a TON of stuff in real life like homework, issues with my ex-boyfriend and trying to plan a surprise party for my best friend, who I haven't seen in 2 years 'cuz he lives in Mexico.

There, her URL works and now I'm making sure the other ones do too. They're in my database, I just forgot to activate them!

Please contact the owners to make sure this is ok, Eni You posted the agreements and checks for my end of the deal but it's up to them to say whether they'll let you keep the foals or not Also, most of the breed things are wrong on your arabians - Egyptian Arabian is not a breed, and several of them are not correct... WA Ruqayya Bint Bint Desperado - She is sired by a pure polish stallion, does not have enough Egyptian to be Egyptian bred or SE... R Ali Amen - Not enough Egyptian breeding to be considered Egyptian-bred. R Hadiya - Not enough Egyptian breeding to be considered Egyptian-bred. Agafya WF - Page URL still doesn't work. SAI Katrine - Not pure polish, she's got Egyptian and American breeding as well.

Also, after much debate with myself, I've decided to let Myrl's two foals go to the next highest bidder. I'm sorry to do it, unfortunately, the due date for agreements & checks was cemented down quite awhile ago and by bidding you agreed to the terms - and I can't play favorites. Try again next year though and make sure you get the URLs done in time

Woops, that's 'cuz Noel asked me to change the name a bit mutinyincallsim.diamondequus.ca/view.php?name=BT%20Agafya-- As for the breeds, as far as I'm concerned half Egyptian = Egyptian-bred. I was going by the breeds listed on the sire & dam pages, if the owners have a problem with it I'll change it.

That's not correct, please make sure to change it The owners don't always know, but I can pretty well guarantee that I do...it's a bit like saying Secretariat is Australian. It's just plain wrong, there's not even a hint of fact in it

Well if that's not how it works, would you mind explaining what is an Egyptian-bred arab? And are Egyptian-bred and Egyptian-related the same thing?
Also, I don't like just calling my horses "arabian", but I don't want to put a long "Polish X Egyptian X Spanish ..." or whatever. What do I call them?

This link explains in detail what Straight Egyptian & Egyptian bred/related means: arabdatasource.com/FaqDisplay.asp?id=13I'm not sure why you don't like calling them "Arabians" as that's exactly what they are. Pet peeve in SIM for me I guess - nobody in the real world of arabians says "I Own a russian arabian gelding". They are ALL ARABIANS, regardless of where they or their parents are born. They're registered the same way, people buy them regardless, etc etc. The fact that they are 'pure' this or 'straight' that, really has no place in arabian bloodlines (IMO). Do I tend to own a lot of pure Polish, sure...but I don't call them polish arabians, that's kind of like calling a horse a "New Zealand Thoroughbred" - people don't actually call them that and say, Sunline is STILL the same breed and is to the same standard as, for example, Secretariat.

True, but I find your herd doesn't get as much appreciation in SIM if they're simply "Arabians". A "Polish Arabian", for example, gets more interest.

I have no trouble selling my non-polish horses, or my american breds. yada yada yada. I would hope SIM would be getting wise to this by now. If they care that much about bloodlines, they'll be able to look them up or look at them and know what they are, IMO. And besides that, it's pointless if you don't know the definitions of each (pure Polish, straight Egyptian, straight Russian, etc). Save yourself a lot of time and energy and call them what they are - Arabians. JMO!
