So you want to win lots of money and have loads of fun with your young horses? Then enter the ASAHA Futurity. Complete rules can be found above by clicking on the Futurity/Sweeps link. How it works is this. You breed your mare. While in foal (up to two weeks after she foals) you may nominate the resulting foal for the ASAHA Futurity. This gives you an opportunity to show your 3 year olds in either (or both) halter and performance and win quite a bit of money, and thus, prestige.
Take note of the July 2005 modification. Obviously since the futurity is just starting, you may enter your horses in it-of any age from newborn to three years old. On July 1st, your foals MUST be nominated in utero or they cannot participate. Only those horses nominated for the futurity can compete in futurity classes. They are for THREE YEAR OLDS ONLY. Do not enter your 10 year olds, yearlings, or anything but a three year old in futurity classes.
Now, to enter it, please post a new topic entitled (Name)'s Futurity Nominations. In the topic should be the following form.(Note: if you are entering an unborn foal, under horse entered, indicate that by Sire x Dam Filly/Colt/Gelding (if to be gelded)).
Horses Entered-Current Age-Arab or Half Arab
Nominations are $1,000 per horse (do check out the payments for winners of futurities...there's a huge about of payback possible!) make modifications to your post by adding a new post each time new horses are to be entered in the futurity.
